Guidelines for Event Planning on The Cliff

  1. If your event requires no additional setup, you can check if a space is available to reserve that space by simply adding that room/space as a location to your Outlook calendar. All conference rooms and commonly requested spaces have been added as locations. While some larger locations will need to be further approved by the space administrator, all conference rooms will be managed by Outlook.
  2. If your event requires setup or if you would like to host in a location not yet available in Outlook, simply send your requested location, dates, and other details to BCU.events@briarcliff.edu. We will process your event request, plan for set up, and so on - you should receive a reservation confirmation or a response with questions within 3 to 5 days. As a small campus community, please understand that we all play a role in setting up and making events a success. Therefore, depending on the size/scope/capacity, please understand you may be asked to help set up and tear down for your event.
  3. If you would like to provide any food or beverages at your event, please connect with Aramark to coordinate your own catering services by contacting ron.ross@briarcliff.edu and chris.gehner@briarcliff.edu.
  4. If your event is open to the BCU community, please also take the extra step to add it to our campus calendar and weekly campus events emails. By now, many of you are pros at this and I want to thank you for continuing to help make our campus calendar the source of truth for our entire community, helping us share what's going on at BCU.
